DCFC: A club for the city.

Since 2015, hundreds of youth soccer players have attended our Open Goal Project camps, clinics, fitness and free play sessions. To bridge the gap and to empower some of the most talented players we've worked with to compete on travel soccer teams, OGP helped dozens of players overcome financial obstacles, transportation challenges and logistical hurdles. But to scale and effect more change, the existing American youth soccer model just wouldn’t work for our kids.

We needed to create our own system, completely different from the current pay-to-play youth soccer construct, that could be sustainable and affect more change…

In 2019, Open Goal Project launched DCFC, our own fully-funded program, completely free of charge for players. Using the method we've developed to make our programs accessible to players who were previously kept on the sidelines and building in new strategies to circumvent the existing youth soccer system, DCFC was born.
